Super Advice

Australia’s Accounting bodies recommend that Accountants have four options in response to the removal of the Accountants Exemption.

  • Refer your client to a licenced party (SMSF Works)
  • Become an Authorised Representative of a licenced party (SMSF Works)
  • Become licenced in your own right (SMSF Works has done this)
  • Recruit / Joint Venture with a Licenced Partner

SMSF Works has responded, we have applied for a limited licence that allows us to be your referral party, we can provide all your SMSF Advice and document requirements.  This is typically suitable for an Accountant who does not want to undertake RG 146 study and is happy to include a specialist in their client conversations.

SMSF Works has also negotiated a special licence with ASIC that permits the granting of Authorised Representatives.  This is typically suitable for an Accountant who wants to undertake RG 146 study and is happy to conduct their own client conversations with support from SMSF Works in the background to complete the SMSF Advice (Fact Find, Statement of Advice and recommendation) and prepare the documentation.
